Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

Size: 20”x 16”

Oil on Canvas

I painted this tree with the intentions of capturing two extremely different spectrums.  In the muted and thalo colors of this landscape, the feeling of a grandmother’s quilt or a warm coffee cup is portrayed.  Within the sharp and metallic forms of the branches lies the feeling of crushed metal ready to slit the thickest skin. I like to eat a root beer jelly bean as I look into this painting.  If you are ever on Harding’s campus find the clock tower and look for the awe-inspiring tree nearby to find my subject.
