Background This painting is part of a twin set. The two paintings of women combing their hair were developed in my attempt to perfect the figure in two slightly different aspects while working within the New Geometric Style. In Woman Combing Hair #2 the figure is developed with crisp edges in order to establish a delicacy to form. There is also a different approach in the handling of recessed areas of her body. |
