This painting was described to me as Angst by an Alaskan psychiatrist, Dr. Ken Miller.  Such destructive passion.  At times, existence seems to be most poignant when all being is flaming suffering.  After completing this painting, I sat and wrote these words: I find myself oppressed by the heat of the moment.  I anguish in the fury that surrounds me.  The violence of oppression has taken my pride, my jewels, my hope.  The mood saturates my insides so that cleaning my skin has become fruitless.  It has come to the point of transformation in which my own hand now becomes the likes of that which I hated.

If I had to choose my favorite painting, The Universe is a Box of Pain We Can Not Escape would be my choice.
